John M. McIsaac (1812)

The gravestone can be found on the right side of the cemetery, in the 3rd row.

He was the son of first settler in Rock Barra, John M. Isaac.  This is the oldest stone in the cemetery.

The gravestone can be found on the left side of the cemetery, in the 1st row.The early sandstone stones have not weathered well.  These also appear to have been produced by local craftsmen, rather than professional stone masons.

He was the husband of Mary (nee McKinnon) Gillis.  He died at the age of 48 or older, and lived at Hay River.
