My mother and aunts have had a long interest in geneology, and I can remember visiting this cemetery during the 1980's, to see my great-great grandfather Vitalus MacDonald. We still can't understand how he got that name, but we think he must have been a cool guy, and my nephew is named after him now!
It has been a lot of work, and it gives us a lot of satisfaction, to have played a role in helping the Parish to restore the cemetery, and to provide this website as a resource for all the others who are interested in geneology as well.
We obtained a lot of information from various sources, and we have tried to credit them with references in this section. There is a lot of good information on the area and many of the people buried in the cemetery in this section, so we hope that you find it to be a useful reference.
