St Margaret of Scotland Pioneer Cemetery Restoration Committee
Meeting in Church Vestry
October 29, 2009

Update on activities:
The Pioneer cemetery Restoration Committee held a meeting in the Church Vestry on Oct 29.2009.
We are happy to report that we were able to almost complete the restoration of stones - there are nine stones left to be done - one needs a new foundation and eight stones need to be straightened. Hopefully this will be completed by the end of Nov, 2009.
We were able to do this through Fund-raising and your donations. We wish to thank everyone who has helped in any way with this project!!
Plans for 2010
These are now being developed. Further stone cleaning is planned. Some work on exposing the stone wall, and also ongoing Maintenance and Grounds-Keeping.
We are open to suggestions as to what to do with the many stone Bases and pieces of tombstones. Note that some inside and some yet to be brought in from outside the wall. One suggestion is to build an altar at the back of the cemetery. Stay tuned for more developments.
